Hero’s 10th Anniversary

Today it’s Hero’s 10th official anniversary!

The “Defenders of Earth” flying coaster officially opened to the public on the 24th of July 2013 after a soft opening on the 15th. Flamingo land resort held an opening event featuring sports and tv stars, superheroes, and radio presenters including Chris Eubank, Donner Air and singer Lemar also performed before cutting the ribbon. The instalment of Hero manufactured by Zamperla replaced the wild mouse ride for 8 million pounds.

In 2022 bakery chain cooplands left flamingo land leaving the unit at the side of Hero empty, arcade machines were moved in and recently the Hero photo booth was relocated inside selling a selection of gifts, snacks and drinks. The building now has a fresh look and a name! HeroVerse! The signs feature photos from the opening event, so if you wonder why you might see a photo of Lemar now you know why.

The Lost River Ride Update

Just over a week ago, The Lost River ride closed and became fenced off to the public. Currently, we can not say if the ride will be removed, repaired or modified and Flamingo Land Resort has not released any information as of today on what work is taking place.
