California Sea Lion

Sea Lions are often mistaken for seals but in actual fact these are very different, one difference between seals and sea lions are sea lions flippers are much larger to help them move on land. You can find them right down the coast of California all the way to the gulf of Mexico. In the wild, the California sea lion is a sleek animal, faster than any other sea lion or seal. These eared seals top out at speeds of some 25 miles an hour.
Did You Know…
They can eat over 5% of their body weight each day. They have a lifespan of 15 to 25 years.
