The Scarlet Ibis can be found in Northern South America from Venezuela to Brazil. It catches its food by using its large long pointy beak to locate fish in the water. The scarlet ibis lives in large colonies that can include thousands of individual birds. When breeding these birds build a untidy nest for their eggs, once laid they keep them warm for around 23-25 days.
