The domesticated turkey is a large poultry bird. The modern domesticated form descends from the wild turkey. The turkey is mainly bred for its meat and is very popular around the world. Farms will breed turkey in a mass scale of thousands, but in the wild they breed in small and quiet undergrowth. The female will oftern lay around 7 eggs and will keep them warm 4 weeks until they hatch.
