Western Grey Kangaroo

The Western Grey Kangaroo is one of the most common species of kangaroo and one of the largest, their size can range over 7ft for a male and females 5ft. When the female gives birth to the joey ( the baby) it will stay in the mother pouch for around 8 months, but can take up to 10 months before leaving the pouch permanent.
Did You Know…
Kangaroos can hop up to 40 miles (74 kilometres) an hour, and go over 9 metres (30 feet) in one hop.
Diet – Herbivores – swallowing their food without chewing it and regurgitate it later.
Threat Status – Least Concerned
